Sometimes wounding a deer is just part of hunting. 🤷🏻♂️
Nobody wants it to happen, but even the best hunters make imperfect shots. What matters most is what you do next.
Here are a few things to consider if you’re on the fence about calling for a thermal drone recovery:
1. A thermal drone is one of the most effective tools available for locating a deer. If that deer is bedded and still alive and you bump him on foot, your odds go drastically down.
2. Stop disturbing your hunting property!
You’ve spent countless hours managing your land, watching deer patterns, and preparing for hunting season. Why walk all over your property, bumping deer out of their bedding areas, when a drone can search from above with minimal intrusion?
3. If your neighbor shoots a deer and it crosses onto your property, consider asking them to hire a thermal drone pilot before they tromp all over your place. You can help them recover their deer without having people walking through your best hunting spots and potentially pushing other deer off your property.
The goal isn’t just to find your deer. It’s to recover it responsibly while minimizing the impact on the rest of the area.
