If you’ve been thinking about making a move, here’s the good news: closing usually takes 30 to 45 days. Get under contract by mid-November and you can often still close before December 31. Every loan and home is different, so we’d love to look at your timeline with you.
The holidays also tend to thin out the crowd, which can mean less competition and more flexibility on terms. And nobody can time the market perfectly. Buy the home that fits your life now, and look at refinancing later if it makes sense.
