Omega Management is excited to see continued progress at RL Lofts in downtown Salina, KS, where two century-old former middle school buildings are being reimagined for a new chapter of residential living.

Originally built as Lincoln School in 1915 and Roosevelt School in 1925, these historic buildings have served the Salina community for generations—first educating hundreds of students and later providing 61 affordable homes for residents 55 and older. Today, RL Lofts is being transformed into affordable housing open to all ages.

The renovation thoughtfully preserves the character that makes these buildings unique, including original brick, limestone, stone mosaics, sculptures, and other historic architectural details. Improvements include restored masonry, new windows and roofing, structural and mechanical upgrades, waterproofing, and modernized elevators.

Inside, residents will enjoy updated finishes, new cabinets, flooring, doors, paint, restored plaster walls, historically inspired lighting, and new appliances.

We’re excited to watch RL Lofts honor more than a century of Salina history while preparing these remarkable buildings to serve the community for generations to come.
