❤️ 𝐓𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲…
I know these past few days have been tough. Trust me, I am right there in the middle of the confusion with you! Navigating insurance claims, finding contractors, cleaning up, trying to figure out what to do next, and just feeling stinky, sweaty, and exhausted is A LOT for any one person to handle.
First things first… 𝐖𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑! 🙌 So, if you need a nice, HOT shower, please reach out! Seriously. My door is open. And let me tell you, after a few days without hot water, I have a whole new appreciation for a good shower! 😂
Secondly, if you are feeling overwhelmed with insurance claims, trying to find a trustworthy contractor or roofer, figuring out what needs to happen next, or just need some help cleaning up, 𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑬 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆.
I absolutely do NOT have all the answers. Heck, I'm still trying to figure some of this out myself! LOL. But I promise you this: I will share what I have learned, help you find the answers to what I don't know, and do whatever I can to point you in the right direction.
And if you just need someone to vent to, call me! We may just end up having a good old-fashioned venting session together! 😂
But there is something else I really want to say…
I think so many of us are still in survival mode. We are in that "get things done" mode. We are making phone calls, cleaning up debris, dealing with damage, taking care of our families, and just trying to find a little bit of normalcy again.
But eventually, things will slow down. And when they do, all of those emotions that we haven't had time to process may come rushing to the surface.
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞. ❤️
It's okay to feel overwhelmed. It's okay to be frustrated. It's okay to have a good cry. And it's okay to ask for help.
One thing these past few days have reminded me of is just how incredible our community really is. I have seen people showing up for one another in ways that truly warm my heart.
So please, whether you are a friend, a neighbor, a client, or someone I've never even met, know this:
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.
I am here. Even if all I can offer is a hot shower, a listening ear, a little guidance, or a good laugh when we desperately need one. ❤️
We will get through this, one day, one phone call, and one pile of hurricane debris at a time!
