🍕🍦 Thursday Night Recovery at His Way Refuge Center! ❤️🙏

Every Thursday night, we offer Recovery Night at His Way Refuge Center for anyone willing to show up, participate, and take steps toward a better future. 💪❤️

Tonight, our amazing staff member Christine went above and beyond to make the evening extra special by taking our clients to the park for pizza, ice cream, and fellowship! 🍕🍦🌳

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. It’s about building connections, creating positive memories, sharing laughter, and reminding those we serve that they are valued, supported, and cared for. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Christine for showing our clients kindness and compassion and for making tonight a little more special! 🫶

At His Way Refuge Center, recovery is about more than just getting back on your feet — it’s about rebuilding lives, restoring hope, and knowing you don’t have to walk the journey alone. 🙏❤️

🚨 COMMUNITY CLARIFICATION REGARDING LAST NIGHT’S INCIDENT

We would like to clarify an incident that occurred at His Way Refuge Center last night, as a report circulating on social media does not accurately reflect what took place.

At approximately after 9:00 PM, a client approached the facility gate. Our gate closes at 8:30 PM for the safety and security of our clients, staff, and facility, and the client was informed that the gate was closed.

The client then made threatening statements toward our staff, indicating that he would return for our staff member.

When the client returned, he was speaking with 911 on his phone and then handed the phone to our staff member. Our staff spoke directly with law enforcement and provided them with the information regarding what had actually occurred.

During that interaction, the client requested to be taken to the hospital because he was experiencing knee pain.

We want our community to know that the incident was not an assault as described in the circulating report, and we are concerned that the AI-transcribed scanner information created an inaccurate impression of what happened.

We appreciate the professionalism of our staff and law enforcement in handling the situation. Our priority will always remain the safety of our clients, staff, and the community we serve.
