🏡 One of the biggest mistakes sellers make is fixing what bothers THEM instead of focusing on what buyers will actually value.
You may dislike the kitchen cabinets, countertops, or bathroom tile—but the next buyer may walk in already planning to replace everything.
That’s why I’m usually cautious about recommending a major kitchen or bathroom renovation right before selling.
In many cases, you may get a better return by focusing on improvements that make the entire home feel cleaner, brighter, and more inviting:
✅ Fresh paint
✅ Better lighting
✅ Decluttering
✅ Deep cleaning
✅ Landscaping and curb appeal
✅ Fixing obvious maintenance issues
After years of selling and renovating homes, I’ve learned that the goal isn’t to make the house perfect for you.
The goal is to make it clean, welcoming, and easy for the next buyer to picture as their own.
👇 Have you ever renovated something before selling, only to see the buyer change it anyway?
