Today is World Gratitude Day.

Life has a way of teaching you what really matters.

Maybe being adopted has given me a little different perspective on gratitude. I’ve always known that my story began with circumstances and decisions I had no control over, and yet God has used so many people and so many different seasons to shape the life I have today.

The older I get, the more I understand that gratitude doesn’t mean every part of the journey was easy or that every question has an answer. It means I can look back and be thankful for the people who have loved me, encouraged me, challenged me and walked alongside me.

I’m thankful for my family and friends, my Weichert family, my clients, and so many others who have crossed my path along the way. Some have been there for most of my life and some only for a season—but each has been part of my story.

Most of all, I’m thankful for a God who has been present through all of it.

Today, I’m grateful for where I came from, where life has taken me, the people God has placed along the way, and the gift of another day.

Blessed with another day to serve others.
