If you live in Lancaster County, when you vote, you’ll be deciding on a potential property tax increase. 🚨📚

On the ballot, voters across Lancaster County are considering a proposed countywide library tax measure asking for 0.55 mills on all taxable real estate.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what that means for homeowners:
• For every $100,000 of assessed value, it equals $55/year.
• For a home assessed at $300,000, it works out to about $165/year (~$13.75/month).

What do you think they should do with the old County Prison? 🏰 ⛓️

Lancaster Township Supervisors voted to pass the land development plan for the new county prison.

The old Prison dates back to before the civil war and was completed in 1851 🥁

The city is hosting an open house to hear comments on how the area should be reused on November 6th.
