π A Weekend in Lancaster County - Crispy Mornings & Small-Town Charm
Happy Friday, friends! Autumn is officially in full swing, and in my opinion, there is absolutely no better place to experience fall than right here in Lancaster County. The rolling farmland is glowing in shades of orange, the morning air is perfectly crisp, and our local towns are buzzing with seasonal energy.
Whether youβre a lifelong local or just out exploring for the weekend, Iβve put together a curated itinerary of my absolute favorite ways to spend a Saturday and Sunday in our beautiful corner of PA.
β The Saturday Morning Routine
β’ Linden Coffee - Bird in Hand: Kick off your Saturday by heading out toward Ronks. This coffee shop is uniquely built inside a beautifully converted historic schoolhouse. Grab their signature Linden Latte or a seasonal iced chai to start your morning.
β’ Pro-Tip: If youβre closer to town, make a stop at the iconic Lancaster Central Market in downtown Lancaster or swing by Slate Cafe in Lititz to browse the local makers and harvest pastries.
π A Taste of Amish Country
Kitchen Kettle Village
In*******se, PA
After getting your caffeine fix, take a slow drive out to In*******se, PA. Strolling through the village this time of year is pure Americana. Stop by the Jam & Relish Kitchen for taste-testing, and do not dare leave without grabbing a warm, buttery soft pretzel from Immergutβthey are hands down the best in the county.
π‘ Neighborhood Spotlight: Lititz & Historic Charm
If your weekend wandering takes you north, spend an hour or two walking the tree-lined streets of Lititz. I was actually up this way earlier in the week checking out some residential properties, and it always reminds me why this area is consistently voted one of the best small towns in America. Between the stunning historic brick facades, the proximity to Lititz Springs Park, and the vibrant boutique shopping along Main Street, it has that tight-knit community vibe that makes people instantly want to move here.
π Sunday Wind-Down
Tomato Pie Cafe
Lititz, PA
End your weekend back on Broad Street in Lititz. Sit down for a cozy dinner and make sure to order a slice of their famous, savory namesake tomato pie. Itβs the ultimate local comfort food to kick off the new week.
What are your Lancaster weekend plans?
One of the greatest parts about living in Lancaster County is that you never have to choose between a vibrant, walkable downtown and peaceful, wide-open country viewsβwe truly have it all. If you ever want to chat about the distinct personalities of our local neighborhoods, school districts, or whatβs currently hitting the market around town, Iβm always down to talk all things local over a cup of coffee. βππ
Have a wonderful weekend!
