💻 Finding housing. Applying for a job. Managing benefits. Creating a resume. Checking email. Scheduling appointments.

So many of the everyday tasks that help someone move toward stability now require access to technology—and the knowledge to use it confidently.

For veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness, limited digital access can become another barrier standing between them and the resources they need.

That’s why digital literacy matters. At Welcome Home, helping veterans build lasting stability can mean more than finding housing—it can also mean providing the tools and skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world.

❣️ Sometimes, finding your own way forward means helping others along the way.

When Joe came to Welcome Home, he was facing serious health challenges and homelessness. But even during one of the most difficult chapters of his own life, Joe found ways to build community—sharing meals, bringing fellow veterans together, and even creating the “Wheelchair Olympics.”

At one point, Joe chose to give up a housing opportunity at Patriot Place so another veteran could have it.

Today, Joe has stable housing, access to the benefits he earned, and a new chapter ahead of him.

Joe’s story is a reminder that the veterans we serve are more than the challenges that brought them to Welcome Home. They are neighbors, friends, leaders, and sources of hope for one another.
