👻 Some people say Boise's most famous old hotel never really checked out…

🏰 The Idanha opened on New Year's Day, 1901, with its castle-like towers, and hosted Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Benjamin Harrison and Will Rogers. 🎩 Today it's apartments, but residents still talk about doors that open on their own 🚪, moans from the old elevator shaft 🛗, and a shadowy figure on the fourth floor. 🌑 And during Idaho's 1907 "trial of the century" ⚖️, the hotel was reportedly the target of a bomb plot 💣 that never happened.

Daylight saving time ends TONIGHT. At 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov 1, clocks go back one hour.

🎃 It's Halloween weekend in the Treasure Valley! Here's your spooky lineup for Oct 30–Nov 1 👇

⛓️ Old Pen Fright Nights, Old Idaho Penitentiary, Fri 7–11pm, $30. Friday is the all-ages night (best for 13 and up), and Saturday is 18+ only.
🦅 Fall Frights, World Center for Birds of Prey, Fri–Sat 11am–3pm. Included with admission, with a costume contest, candy and raptor shows.
🌾 Scarecrow Stroll, Idaho Botanical Garden, daily 9am–5pm through Nov 2. Included with admission.
⛷️ 75th Annual Ski Swap, Expo Idaho, Fri–Sun. It's $5, kids 12 and under get in free, and Sunday is free with two cans of food.
🎻 Spooky Symphony with the Boise Philharmonsters, Centennial High School, Sat 2pm. There's a trunk-or-treat and costume contest beforehand. Tickets are $15, and free for 18 and under.
🍬 Star Trunk or Treat, Riverhouse Pasture in Star, Sat 3–5pm. Free, with bounce houses and food trucks.
🌽 Meridian Harvest Fest and Trunk-or-Treat, Calvary Chapel Meridian, Sat 4–7pm. Free.
