Every home is only as good as what it sits on.

On this new construction home, we used a post-tension slab foundation. Steel tendons are placed in the slab, and once the concrete reaches strength they are tensioned, putting the slab in compression. That compression helps the slab resist cracking and handle the movement of expansive Texas soils.

It’s the part of the house nobody sees after move-in, which is exactly why we take it so seriously.

In an established Austin neighborhood, a new home has a responsibility to the street it joins. Before we
finalize a design, we study the homes around the lot: their scale, rooflines, materials, and how they sit on
the block. The goal is a home that looks like it belongs from the day it’s finished.
