Last month was our second this year, a dedicated time to give back to the communities where we live and work.

Throughout the week, our team came together to volunteer with several organizations and initiatives across the region. We spent time supporting Covenant House Vancouver and Union Gospel Mission, and closer to home, our team helped clean up the shoreline at River District.

Each experience offered a meaningful opportunity to contribute, connect with our communities, and support organizations doing important work across the region.

Wesgroup Cares Week continues to be a highlight for our team and an opportunity to put our commitment to community into action. Thank you to everyone who participated and to the organizations that welcomed our team this year.

Meet Andy and Jessica.

As the brother-and-sister team behind BAK'D, Andy and Jessica built their business from the ground up, from late nights baking and delivering cookies across Metro Vancouver to growing their following through local farmers markets.

Having previously lived in River District, they experienced firsthand the sense of community within a Wesgroup neighbourhood. After finding success at the New West Farmers Market and discovering Brewery District in New Westminster, it felt like a natural fit for the next chapter of Bak’d.

In this edition of District Stories, Andy and Jessica share their journey, what drew them to Brewery District, and how the support of the New Westminster community has helped make their first storefront feel like home.

Their story is a reminder of what can happen when local businesses and the communities around them grow together.

Construction at Harlin in River District continues to make steady progress, with the structure now reaching Level 15 and the podium fully poured.

Window installation is underway on Level 6 of the tower and Level 3 of the podium, while steel stud framing has progressed to Level 4 and rough-ins have begun on Level 3.

Below grade, block work in the parkade is now more than halfway complete.

With progress continuing inside and out, it’s exciting to see Harlin taking shape as part of the growing River District community.

Progress continues at our Oak & 41st site, with several major milestones recently reached.

Window installation is now complete across both towers, while steel stud framing has reached the top floors as interior work continues to advance.

We’ve also taken down one of the tower cranes, with the second set to come down soon, marking another significant step as the project moves into its next stage of construction.

It’s exciting to see Oak & 41st continue to move closer to completion.

A throwback worth sharing.

It’s been over a year since we completed Elevate, our multi-level industrial development in Coquitlam, and we’re taking a look back at the finished project.

Located at King Edward Street and United Boulevard, Elevate delivers nearly 200,000 square feet of flexible industrial space in one of Metro Vancouver’s key industrial areas.

Designed to accommodate a range of businesses and industrial uses, Elevate has continued to make its mark since completion, earning Best Industrial Development at the 2026 Commercial Real Estate Awards.

More than a year after completion, Elevate remains a project we’re proud to have delivered.
