Inline Group Inc. Inline is a Canada-wide geotechnical and environmental engineering, materials testing, and geomatics firm.

Since 2012, Inline has provided industrial and infrastructure clients with a value proposition that encompasses the best of both worlds – the competitiveness and flexibility of a smaller firm, but the processes, expertise, and services of a larger firm, derived from years of executing on Western Canada’s largest projects. Inline’s engineering group encompasses geotechnical engineers that support a broad range of municipal, transportation, land development, and industrial infrastructure projects. We dually provide surveying and materials testing, which includes a fleet of UAV's and 3D scanners, and nine material testing labs - a permanent CCIL lab in Edmonton, and five mobile labs. It is the combination of our services that provide our clients with a one-stop-shop solution. Our core values – Productive and Hardworking, Personable, Humble, Professional, and Adaptable – are represented every day by our 200+ team members. We’ve grown with these values, hire with these values, and our clients have come to expect, and appreciate, our commitment to these values. It is our people that champion these behaviors, and they are the Inline difference. We believe companies have a greater purpose than profit; we are committed to creating positive impacts on each team member and investing in the communities we work within. Inline is proud to support many Indigenous communities across Canada with social initiatives and work to create long-term prosperity through our Joint Ventures.

We’re proud to recognize Keith Van Skiver as our Photo of the Month winner for September!

Keith, an Operations Manager representing our Inline Fort McMurray team, captured this shot during an afternoon spent scanning a tailings barge in Wood Buffalo, AB. While on site, he walked Mike Gillis, Site Lead with our Challenger team, through using both the NavVis VLX Mobile Scanner and the Leica RTC Laser Scanner.

Following the Challenger Geomatics acquisition, our Fort McMurray teams started working together right away, sharing their expertise, capabilities, resources, and technology. Every chance we get to collaborate builds a stronger team on both sides.

Great capture, Keith! Thank you to you and Mike for showing what coming together as one team looks like in practice.

Last month we were pleased to welcome Brian Curry to the Inline leadership team as our new Director, Business Development.

Brian brings over 16 years of experience in business development, sales leadership and operations across industrial distribution, manufacturing and construction-related industries throughout Canada, with a focus on building strong customer relationships and high-performing teams. His background includes both commercial leadership and operational management, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth Science and an MBA, both from the University of Alberta.

While he’s proud of the growth he has helped drive, what stands out most for Brian is the people he’s had the opportunity to mentor. For him, seeing team members grow into larger roles and reach their own professional goals has been one of the most rewarding parts of leadership.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Brian on the tennis court, hitting the trails on his mountain bike, or spending time with his golden retriever, Drake. Competitive tennis has become a major passion, and he enjoys the physical and mental challenge of improving through competition.

What excites Brian most about joining Inline is the chance to be part of a growing company working in industries that connect to his geoscience background. As he puts it, “I’m looking forward to building relationships with clients, supporting the continued growth of the business, and helping customers access multiple services through one organization.”

Welcome to the team, Brian!

Happy Thanksgiving!

None of what we do happens on our own, and today we’re especially grateful for the people who make it possible. Thank you to our team members for everything you bring, to the families who cheer you on from home, and to the clients and partners who trust us with their projects.

From all of us at Inline, enjoy a safe and restful long weekend.

Throughout September, 20 team members from our Inline and Challenger Calgary offices came together to represent Inline for the first time at the 2026 Calgary Corporate Challenge September Games.

Across seven events, we brought home a bronze medal in Truck Pull, tied for fourth in Trivia, finished a narrow fourth in Bocce, and cheered as Hector Rodriguez crushed the 10K in 39 minutes.

More importantly, the biggest win was the opportunity to strengthen connections between our Calgary teams. Since Challenger Geomatics joined Inline earlier this year, we’ve continued to find new ways to come together, and after two weeks of competing side by side, our teams are more connected than ever.

We're excited to recognize Louis Johnston, Project Supervisor, as September's Team Member of the Month.

After more than five years with Inline, Louis still makes time to support those around him. He was nominated for being Productive and Hardworking, one of our five core values, for the way he handled the demands of his role while making sure a new colleague started on solid footing.

Colby Loveless shared:
"Lou managed his very busy day to day with the highest level of professionalism while taking the time to ensure I was up to speed and completing my tasks properly during my first set."

Congratulations, Louis! New team members settle in faster with leaders like you showing them how the work gets done.

At Climbing for Change, 18 Inliners climbed the equivalent of the Matterhorn, Mount Logan, and Mount Everest, raising $13,000 for Kids with Cancer Society.

Across three teams, they pushed through an incredible 292 laps, with our final team crossing the finish line after over 14 hours on the hill.

This challenge was a powerful reflection of the people we have and the culture we're building together. The drive to keep climbing, the encouragement when someone needed a boost, and the generosity of everyone who supported us all speak volumes about this team.

Adam Temple, our CEO, shared:
"The event was a great team building experience. Watching people push through adversity while their teammates cheered them on was amazing. If you ever need to be inspired, take a moment to watch someone push past what they thought they could do. It's like a shot of adrenaline. Congrats to our entire team for getting this done!"

Yesterday, in recognition of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, our team was honoured to welcome Walter White, an Elder from the Enoch Cree Nation, one of our valued Indigenous partners, who joined us to share knowledge and lead a smudging ceremony. Team members across the country wore orange shirts in solidarity and joined virtually to hear Walter's words.

Orange Shirt Day honours the survivors, families, and communities affected by residential schools. At Inline, truth and reconciliation remain central to our ongoing commitment to the partners and communities we work alongside, and we will continue to listen with respect and contribute to a future built on understanding and inclusion.

Thank you to Walter for sharing this time with us.
