I never thought I’d be posting another status update in my life, yet here I am. It’s like the universe logged me in without my consent. I’m back here to take up my calling — yes, my calling — of becoming an ultra-philanthropic social‑media influencer. If such a thing remotely even authentically exists, then I must be the chosen one.
During my contentious leave of absence, I’ve descended from a ministerial non‑executive director appointment… to unemployed while emotionlessly staring out a tiny, moulded window in an overcrowded humid jail cell as a detainee, criminally charged for an alleged schedule 5 offence… to becoming self‑representing serial high court litigant, valiantly fighting for my life, my name, the preservation of my exaggerated sense of justice — and now here I am, asking you for your help.
Unfortunately, life has brutally stripped me down to the basics: rejected by friends, former colleagues, disowned by my entire and extended family, officially in the process of untying the proverbial matrimonial knot, fired from work and in my tri-annual unemployment anniversary, embroiled in multiple court battles, defused from business, repossessed vehicle, bank accounts overdrawn and piling in copious debt.
Notwithstanding the above, it is, in no uncertain terms, not about what you don’t… Have a steady voice, riveting story to tell, wicked sense of humour, am an exceptionally gifted individual and besides a relentless will to survive whatever dish this cold world decides to serve, I have a house but don’t let that fool you into thinking that I sleep on a bed.
When everything unnecessary has been stripped away, all that remains is an unflavoured choice containing the potential to be sweetened to the max. I’m transforming my lived experiences into a story that proves you can lose everything, get blindsided by life, and still rise with humour, truth, and a calling to help others become the best version of their genuine self.
Being a naturally generous person, highly empathetic and mischievously playful, with a deep commitment to serving others, the generosity holds no limits because it dynamically includes giving time, sharing knowledge, creating opportunities, offering encouragement and helping someone recognise possibility when their circumstances have made it difficult to see the sky, let alone attempt to reach it.
I realised that my empathy allows me to notice what people may struggle to express. I understand what it feels like to be isolated, underestimated, misunderstood or forced to begin again. I want to transform those experiences into something constructive—not a reason to remain wounded, but a source of insight that may help another person innately feel seen.
At the centre of this purpose is my belief that every person possesses a unique, God-given combination of abilities, experiences and perspectives. A gift may not initially look impressive or profitable. It may appear as curiosity, resilience, compassion, humour, organisation, storytelling, problem-solving or an ability to bring people together. Sometimes the very quality a person has been endlesly criticised for becomes valuable once it is understood, disciplined and directed toward the right purpose.
