Revenue per available room (RevPAR): $111.26 (+1.7%)

The Baird/STR Hotel Stock Index — comprising 20 of the largest hotel companies publicly traded on a U.S. stock exchange by market capitalization — showed continued investor confidence in the hotel sector, with values in December up 12.7%. That increase followed a 7.6% decline in the index in November. For full-year 2021, the stock index was up 25.6% over 2020.

STR: For the week ending 22 February, the U.S. hotel industry reported a 0.7% increase in average daily rate to $130.55, which was not enough to overcome a 2.1% year-over-year decrease in occupancy to 63.2%. As a result, revenue per available room was down 1.4% for the week to $82.55.
