Episode 1: The Dream Home & The BIG Surprise 💩

Y’all… when I tell you the STORIES I could tell from my years in Real Estate… WHEWWWW!! 🤣🤣

And if you know me, you KNOW I’m usually the one tripping over something, falling down stairs, or finding myself in situations that just cannot be made up. 🙈

BUT THIS ONE?!?!

This one takes the cake… or should I say the 💩?! 🤣💀

So picture this…

My clients find their DREAM HOME. And when I say DREAM HOME, I mean LOG CABIN MEETS GLAM!! 😍🙌🏻

Absolutely STUNNING!!

My clients are already mentally moving furniture in, planning Christmas mornings, and picking out where everything is going to go. They just KNOW this is THE ONE!!

And honestly?! SO DID I!! 🙌🏻

We walk in and OH. MY. GOODNESS.

GORGEOUS. PERFECT. EVERYTHING THEY WANTED.

We’re walking through, admiring all the beautiful details, when suddenly…

👀 WAIT A MINUTE.

What is THAT?!

Y’all.

DOG. P**P. 💩

And I’m not talking about some little ankle-biter leaving behind a tiny surprise.

OH NO MA’AM.

I’m talking BIG DOG. BIG BUSINESS. 💩💩💩🤣

And it wasn’t just ONE little present.

IT. WAS. EVERYWHERE.

Bedroom after bedroom, like somebody had strategically placed these little landmines throughout the house for our viewing pleasure. 😳🤣

At this point I’m trying to remain professional while internally screaming, WHO DOES THIS?!?!

We later learned the home was being sold due to bankruptcy, which is truly heartbreaking. 💔

But y’all… we couldn’t help wondering if those little surprises had been left behind to discourage buyers.

Because HOW ELSE DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS?! 🤣💀

Now here’s the BEST PART…

MY CLIENTS BOUGHT THE HOUSE ANYWAY!! 🏡🙌🏻🤣

Because when you know, YOU KNOW!!

And their very first order of business?!

NEW. CARPET. IMMEDIATELY. 🤣🤣🤣

Moral of the story?

Sometimes finding your dream home means looking past a few imperfections…

And sometimes those imperfections require a shovel, a hazmat suit, and a carpet installer. 💩🤣

Y’all thought we were done with the things you should NEVER do while buying a house?! OH NO MA’AM! 🤣💗

We’re back with 3 MORE things that could throw a big ol’ wrench into getting those DREAM HOME KEYS! 🔑

💗 #4 — Making Large Bank Deposits! 💰
Listen, I love a good chunk of money hitting the bank account just as much as the next girl! 🙌🏻 BUT unexplained deposits can raise questions with your lender. Make sure you have documentation and talk to your lender FIRST!

💗 #5 — Co-Signing a Loan! 🚗
I know you want to help your cousin, bestie, or whoever needs a little financial love…but BABY, not while we’re trying to buy you a HOUSE! 🤣 Co-signing can affect your debt-to-income ratio and your loan approval!

💗 #6 — Making Big Changes to Your Banking! 🏦
Moving money around, closing accounts, or making unusual transfers? HOLD UP! ✋ Those changes may require additional documentation and could delay your closing.

✨ MORAL OF THE STORY:
Once you’re under contract, let’s keep those finances nice and BORING! 🤣👏🏻

Because the ONLY surprise I want at your closing is how CUTE you’re going to look holding those new house keys! 🏡🔑💗

And remember, when in doubt…ASK YOUR LENDER BEFORE YOU DO IT!

But PLEASE don’t go doing these three things without talking to your lender first!
