🧛‍♀️🖤 What an incredible day at The Vampire Run in Covington, GA! 🖤🧛‍♀️

As many of you know, 2026 marks our third year sponsoring this amazing event! We first participated in the run in 2021, returning in 2023 and 2024. We became sponsors in 2024 and were thrilled to continue our support in 2025 and again this year!

For those who know me, I’m Corinne Burton, and I’m a HUGE fan of The Vampire Diaries! Naturally, being part of an event in Covington, the home of so many TVD filming locations, was something I had to do. Over the years, I’ve attended two conventions and two fan appreciation events, met more than 25 cast members, and visited most of the show’s filming locations. 🖤

But as much as I love being a fan, this event means so much more to me than that. It’s personal.

In 2000, my beloved Grannie passed away from leukemia. That loss is a big part of why supporting this cause is so meaningful to me. What started with my love for a show has become an opportunity to honor her memory and help support a cause that touches so many lives.

We are incredibly grateful to Scotty Scoggins for welcoming The Burton Team and giving us the opportunity to be part of something so special. We are truly honored to support this event, make memories, connect with fellow fans, and have a little fun along the way!

Our hope is to continue sponsoring The Vampire Run for as long as it continues. We love being part of this community and supporting a cause that means so much.

🚨🔥 BURN BAN NOTICE | OCTOBER 24–25, 2026 🔥🚨

NO OUTDOOR BURNING PERMITTED IN BARROW COUNTY!

The Barrow County Fire Department is advising residents that outdoor burning will NOT be permitted on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026.

This decision is based on forecasted weather conditions, including:

💨 Possible wind gusts exceeding 20 mph

🌡️ Low relative humidity levels

These conditions increase the risk of fires spreading rapidly and becoming difficult to control.

🚫 REMINDER: BURN PERMITS ARE REQUIRED!

When outdoor burning is allowed, residents must obtain a burn permit before burning.

✅ Permits are FREE of charge.

✅ Permits are issued 7 days a week, after 8:00 AM, when burning is allowed.

🌐 Obtain your permit at: www.georgiaburnpermits.com

⚠️ A burn permit does NOT override burn restrictions. No outdoor burning is permitted during the October 24–25 burn ban.
