It's common to hear about R-values when looking at insulation. The higher the R-value number, the greater the insulating power. It helps keep indoor spaces warm during cold weather and cool during hot weather, lowering energy bills.

If your heat bill is high, it could literally be "going through the roof." Adding insulation in the attic could make a difference.

According to Redfin, there are now 63% more sellers than buyers nationwide, and 41 of the 50 largest metros favor buyers. That means, in most places, you have more say in what you're willing to pay, what you're willing to accept, and what you want to negotiate.

And sellers have more reason to listen IF they need to sell. Temper your negotiations with the knowledge that nearly 10% of SELLERS end up NOT selling and are turning their properties into rentals instead. With low mortgage rates locked in, for many sellers, there is only so much negotiating to do before it simply makes more sense to hold on to the property and rent it out.
