When people ask what our work actually looks like… a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

From maneuvering bulky furniture through tight spaces and carefully wrapping belongings to loading up the truck, no two moving days look quite the same.

Different homes. Different challenges. One crew making it all happen.

This is what a day with Southern Moving looks like.

Great movers aren't just strong. They're trained.

Every smooth move starts with preparation, practice, and a team that takes pride in getting the details right.

That's the Southern Way.

10/21/2026

Not every move means changing addresses. Sometimes, it's about making the space you're already in work better.

From complex furniture moves to a more organized workspace, our team was happy to help make it happen.

Thank you, Kim, for recognizing the hard work and dedication of our crew!

Three flights of stairs. One calm, coordinated crew.

Moves this smooth don’t happen by accident. They take preparation, planning, clear communication, and a team that knows every step matters.

At Southern Moving & Storage, the work starts long before we lift the first piece of furniture. 📦🏡

The friends who actually show up, bring the truck, and handle the heavy lifting.

🚨 BIG NEWS FOR SOUTHERN MOVING & STORAGE! 🚨

A dream we’ve had for years is finally becoming a reality… We’re building our FOREVER HOME!

This next chapter for Southern Moving & Storage will include over 41,000 square feet of climate-controlled space, offering residential storage, commercial storage, and interior design services—all on more than 5.5 acres of property!

This expansion is more than just new buildings. It’s an investment in our future, our team, our customers, and the Wilmington community that has supported us for nearly 13 years. We’re creating the space and opportunity to continue growing, expanding our services, and taking Southern Moving to the next level!

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible clients, Realtors, interior designers, business partners, and everyone who has trusted and supported us along the way. We truly wouldn’t be where we are today without you.

We’re targeting completion around February, and you can bet we’ll be celebrating with a ribbon-cutting party alongside the clients, friends, and partners who helped make this possible!

Here’s to nearly 13 years of hard work, growth, and relationships—and to the NEXT 13 YEARS of Southern Moving & Storage!
