It looks like the Great Pumpkin found Charlie Brown in Wheeling tonight. Thank you for a great night on the waterfront, Dr. Mercer!

What beautiful weather for a night of Snoopy and treats! We ran out of candy fast, and we loved all the costumes!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the LIFE HUB table and said hello. Thank you to everyone who made a donation.

🎃 WHO'S COOLER — JOE COOL OR DR. BILL MERCER?

We think it's a pretty close contest!

DID YOU KNOW? Dr. Bill Mercer is not only Vice Chair of The LIFE HUB's Board of Directors, but also an internationally recognized expert in street medicine! We're incredibly proud to have someone with his expertise, compassion, and dedication to helping our most vulnerable neighbors right here in Wheeling.

And if there's one thing Dr. Mercer loves almost as much as helping people, it's SNOOPY!

So grab the kids and join us for Dr. Mercer's Great Pumpkin Party!

🎃 Thursday, October 29 | 5–8 p.m.
📍 Heritage Port, Wheeling
🍬 FREE FAMILY FUN!

Joe Cool may have the sunglasses, but Dr. Mercer has the heart! 💜

🎃👻DIGNITY WEEK ENDS WITH A LITTLE HALLOWEEN FUN!

Friday afternoon, we celebrated with an early Halloween trick-or-treat party filled with laughter, games, plenty of candy, and some community spirit!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate with our guests, brought games, and treats!

🍕 A special shoutout to Toni DiCarlo at DiCarlo's Pizza for always supporting our community!

Did you know Lisa Leach is crafty? Is there anything our shelter director can't do? Thanks for the door prizes, Lisa!

Thank you to our awesome staff and our AmeriCorps Members Freddie Reiners and Mickey McPherson for your hard work in organizing everything. Ryan Adams was out of town but managed to sneak in as Batman.

🧙‍♀️🧹 And speaking of Halloween fun… RIDE THAT WITCH'S BROOM, LISA MARPLE AND Dallas Davidson! Check out the pictures and video below.

Wednesday was another wonderful day of celebrating Dignity Week! 💜

Guests and neighbors spent the day at Catholic Charities alongside our amazing community partners from the Neighborhood Center, Project HOPE WV, and Street MOMs!

From flu shots and health screenings to games, a picnic, and clothing distribution courtesy of Street Moms, the day was filled with kindness, laughter, friendship, and community spirit! 💜

Because dignity is about more than meeting basic needs. It's about making people feel valued, supported, included, and loved.

🎃👻 AND NOW… FOR OUR GRAND FINALE!

We're wrapping up Dignity Week tomorrow with a HALLOWEEN PARTY in the LIFE HUB parking lot!

At the LIFE HUB, every person matters, every act of kindness counts, and dignity is something we celebrate EVERY day!

Our LIFE HUB guests and neighbors enjoyed haircuts and personal care today. Sometimes, it's the little things that make the biggest difference. A fresh haircut, a little self-care, and a reminder that everyone deserves to feel good about themselves, be treated with dignity, and know they matter.

Thank you to our friends at the Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center for hosting us today.

A special thank you to our LIFE HUB AMERICORPS TEAM MEMBERS, Ryan, Makayla, and Freddie for all of their special efforts today. 💜

💜 BUILDING CONNECTIONS AND EXPERIENCING OUR COMMUNITY!

We have spent the past two months enjoying some special outings with LIFE HUB guests who are interested in participating!

☀️ In August, we spent time with our friends at the SMART Centre in Wheeling and visited our neighbors next door at West Virginia Independence Hall!

🎶 This past Saturday, some of our guests enjoyed a concert at Waterfront Hall and had a fantastic time!

🏒 Also this weekend, guests got to experience the excitement of a Wheeling Nailers hockey game!

These outings are about so much more than entertainment. They're about dignity, belonging, new experiences, and reminding every person that they are a valued part of our community especially as they wait for housing and employment opportunities.

💜 A HUGE THANK YOU to our dedicated staff who make these opportunities possible, our wonderful friends and neighbors throughout Wheeling, and the generous donors who continue to support our mission!
