Early in my career, a renter wrote a handwritten letter directly to my managing broker about me.
I was chasing buyer commissions at the time. When a family reached out needing help finding a rental, I let their messages slide and never called back.
Sitting in my broker’s office reading that letter was the most embarrassing moment of my career. That family took the time to write out their complaint, and they were completely right.
It taught me an uncomfortable lesson. How you treat someone who cannot write you a big commission check tells you everything about your integrity.
Whether someone is looking for a rental in Melrose Park or buying their forever home across Chicagoland, they get the exact same honest communication and respect.
Everyone deserves someone in their corner.
