❤️ THIS is why I love West Chester.
Lately, I’ve been reminded that sometimes the things that restore your faith in people aren’t huge, dramatic gestures. They’re the quiet choices ordinary people make when they could just as easily keep walking.
A neighbor accidentally left her bag at CVS. Someone found it and turned it in, and her bag was there waiting for her when she went back to get it. 🙏
Someone else lost a wallet. It was found and returned, and the money inside was still there.
Another person was struggling with a large box in a shopping cart, and a stranger noticed, stopped what they were doing, and helped. ❤️
And I’ve experienced that same kindness myself. I accidentally left my phone at Giant. When I realized it was missing, my heart dropped and I rushed back, hoping it would still be there. Someone had found it and turned it in.
Think about that for a moment.
Different people. Different situations. No reward. No recognition. Nobody standing there telling them what they should do.
❤️ They simply chose to do the right thing.
And I think we need more reminders like this.
We spend so much time hearing about everything that’s wrong with the world that it becomes easy to forget how much good is happening quietly around us every single day.
Every one of us gets opportunities to be that person.
✨ Return what isn’t yours.
✨ Hold the door.
✨ Help carry the box.
✨ Check on your neighbor.
✨ Give someone a little grace.
✨ Speak kindly.
✨ Stop and help.
Be the person you would hope was there if it were you.
That’s something I try to live by every day, personally and through Squeaky Clean Service:
❤️ DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING.
Because kindness doesn’t stop with the person who receives it. They remember it. They carry it with them. And maybe the next time they see someone who needs help, they become the person who stops.
That’s how kindness spreads.
That’s how a community becomes stronger.
One person. One choice. One good deed at a time.
❤️ That’s the West Chester I’m proud to call home.
