A day in the life of a Realtor… 😂
I have a very special niche that requires a high level of privacy, which means a lot of my best Realtor stories never make it to social media.
But today’s story is less about the transaction and more about the people behind it.
This morning, I left the house with ONE medium-sized “sippy cup” ☕️ and a very reasonable plan:
Head to settlement in downtown West Chester.
Sign paperwork for 30 minutes.
Have lunch with my sellers.
Head home.
WRONG. 😂
On the way, I passed a client friend and called to say hi. (Okay, maybe a tiny bit of two-sided harassment, but “hi” was the general intention.)
He asked where I was headed, and when I told him I was going to settlement, he said, “Great! I love reading Tracy settlement posts.”
And just like that, I had a story to tell.
What I kept thinking about during what should have been an 8-block drive but somehow became a 20-minute construction tour was how incredibly grateful I am for my team. 🫶
In my head, there is a team of rock stars somewhere in a basement making sure every piece of paperwork is accurate, complete, and on time. 😂
Because of them, I get to be PRESENT at settlement.
I get to sit with buyers and sellers, talk through the nerves and excitement, answer questions, and help them navigate what is often a pretty emotional transition without staring at my phone wondering what’s happening behind the scenes.
I get to go to lunch with my sellers and spend two hours talking about life, next chapters, weekend plans, and everything except real estate.
And I don’t have to worry that the next transaction is hanging by a thread…
Because it’s being handled.
By actual professionals. Who are ridiculously good at what they do.
So, what should have been a 30-minute settlement and an hour-ish lunch turned into a 5+ hour round trip adventure.
And honestly? I’m okay with it.
Because I could NOT do what I do without the incredibly efficient, detail-oriented people behind the scenes who make my job look a whole lot easier than it actually is.
I may be the face you see, but I am absolutely not a one-woman show. 🧡
