Meet Matt Felt | Senior Executive on all Urban Pace x Polaris Pacific projects, and the person who brings 25 years of new development experience and a West Coast edge to our East Coast strategy.
Matt spent two decades in California before relocating to Bethesda in 2020, and now splits his time between coasts - bringing the full weight of the Polaris Pacific platform to every project he touches. Data-driven strategy, proven ex*****on and a senior leader who actually shows up.
We asked him three questions…
1. My go-to DMV neighborhood right now - and why:
Shaw. It has everything I want in a neighborhood: rowhouses with character, great coffee shops, and some of the best restaurants in the city, all within a few blocks. You can walk from a quiet residential street to a packed w**e bar in five minutes. And it’s still changing, which keeps it interesting.
1. My hottest take on DC real estate that I’ll actually stand behind:
Stop waiting for the “perfect” time to buy. People have been predicting a big DC price drop for years, and our market just doesn’t work that way. Federal jobs, strong schools, and limited inventory keep it steady. The best time to buy is when the numbers work for your life, not when the headlines say so.
1. My current restaurant rec in the DMV - and what to order:
Maydān, off Florida Ave. It’s loud and smoky, with a huge open hearth in the middle of the room, and it feels like a dinner party. Get a spread of the dips and sauces with the flatbread fresh off the fire, then share the whole roasted chicken or the lamb shoulder. Go with a group, order too much, and don’t skip dessert.
Follow along - more team coming.
