Massachusetts homeowners may be able to take advantage of MassHousing’s Accessory Dwelling Unit Loan Program (ADULP) to help finance the construction of an accessory dwelling unit (ADU).

An ADU could be a basement apartment, an addition to your existing home, or a detached cottage or converted garage. It may offer opportunities for multigenerational living, additional housing options, or greater flexibility for your property.

💰 Financing may be available for eligible homeowners:
🔹 Up to $150,000 for attached ADUs
🔹 Up to $250,000 for detached ADUs
🔹 Financing includes an interest-bearing loan and additional zero-interest, deferred-repayment financing.

Eligibility and income limits apply. Homeowners must have the necessary plans, permits, and pre-development materials ready before applying, and projects already underway before loan closing are not eligible.

Massachusetts voters will have an important decision to make on November 3! 🗳️

Question 7 proposes an amendment to Chapter 40A, Massachusetts’ Zoning Act, that could create more opportunities for single-family homes on smaller lots.

📍 Who would be affected?
✅ Qualifying communities covered by Chapter 40A with access to public water AND sewer.

🚫 Who would not be affected?
❌ Communities and properties relying on private wells and septic systems.
❌ Boston, which is not governed by Chapter 40A.

🌿 From planting to pollinators — watch this garden grow! 🐝🦋

What started with a full day of digging, planting, and mulching at the Allan H. Jordan Memorial Island at Lynnfield’s Jordan Park has quickly blossomed into a flourishing pollinator garden!

We’re already seeing caterpillars, monarch butterflies, and bees jumping from flower to flower. It’s rewarding to see all that hard work paying off!

Much like a home renovation, this has been a labor of love. We’re continually watering, replacing plants that aren’t quite thriving, and making adjustments to give this garden the best chance to flourish and provide a welcoming habitat for pollinators.

At CMD Realty Group, our commitment to the community goes beyond real estate. We believe in rolling up our sleeves, investing our time and skills, and helping make the towns we serve better places to live.
