“A developer is moving forward with plans to build affordable homes in Tysons Central with the support of Fairfax County’s housing authority.

Lincoln Avenue Communities submitted a rezoning application to the county last Wednesday (Oct. 7) seeking to amend previously approved plans for the neighborhood to allow two “all-affordable” high-rises totaling 525 homes on a currently vacant site near the Greensboro Metro station.”

Dr. Tarek Khalil was raised in Clark’s Summit, Pennsylvania. He attended SUNY Binghamton University where he majored in Integrative Neuroscience and developed an interest in the visual system. He appreciated how eyecare tangibly improves patients’ lives. To Dr. Khalil, vision is the most important sense. Dr.Khalil attended and did his training at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University where he graduated with honors in 2024.

From a very young age, Dr.Khalil had an interest in real estate. He attended auctions with his father who taught him how to assess and properly evaluate properties. These experiences with his father have given him knowledge in commercial, residential, and investment properties.

Dr. Khalil is fluent in Arabic and English. Dr. Khalil and his wife, who is also an optometrist, Dr. Diana Mamoud, love to travel and try different restaurants. In his free time, he likes to exercise, watch sports and play with his toy poodle, Elmo. Ask him about any sport!

Broker Sean was grateful to spend lunch at the Vienna Inn (Vienna Inn 🌭🍺🍳🍔) with three longtime friends from Fairfax County Fire & Rescue — three incredible men who have served the Vienna area for decades with dedication, courage and an unwavering commitment to our community. ❤️🚒

The friendship and brotherhood built through so many years of service is something truly special. 🌟

Two of these gentlemen have also trusted Sean with their real estate needs over the years, which has been a genuine honor. And his friendship with the third runs especially deep — Sean’s nephew, Giovanni, was named after him. ❤️

More than anything, this lunch was simply about friendship, appreciation and catching up with three people who have given so much of themselves to the community.

Sean is incredibly grateful for their friendship and their many years of service — and always humbled when that trust extends to allowing him to be part of something as personal as their real estate journey. 🔑🏡

Over 10 years ago, one of Lydia Real Estate’s clients purchased a home in DC and selected First Excel Title, LLC for the closing.
