Tony Rivas began his real estate career shortly after graduating from high school in 2005, and he genuinely enjoyed building relationships with the community. He was successful in his early career and purchased many investment properties as his company grew, and he enjoyed assisting his clients in doing the same. However, in September 2009, he declared bankruptcy and lost everything, as did many other homeowners during the Great Recession. During this trying time, Tony contacted the mortgage companies on his properties and learned how to apply for and obtain loan modifications, as well as conduct short sales to avoid foreclosure. During this period of learning, he noticed that many distressed homeowners needed the same assistance that he had, so he began helping his community and guiding struggling homeowners to avoid foreclosure, just as he had done for himself. Today, Tony has assisted hundreds of homeowners and their families in avoiding foreclosure, resulting in the expansion of his business, which is motivated by his fervent goal of saving 10,000 homeowners from foreclosure. Tony appreciates his time as a real estate agent in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
