A little behind the scenes of my week 💛

Each week, I volunteer at the East Oakland Senior Center, helping sign people up for our monthly casino trip among other things.

It gives me a chance to visit, catch up, and help everyone get ready for an outing they look forward to.

The conversations and familiar faces are a special part of my week.

✨One of the things I enjoy most about working in the East Bay is the people I get to know along the way.

The Oakland African-American
Chamber of Commerce's 23rd Annual Business Awards Luncheon was another wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community-cheering on the honorees, visiting the local vendors, and reconnecting with friends and acquaintances.

Between the conversations, laughs, and hugs, there was plenty to smile about!

Congratulations to all the honorees,
and thank you to the local business owners whose work adds so much to our community.
