Buckeye could be getting its first-ever QDOBA on Verrado Way — and the first 50 people in line get free food for a year.

The 2,200 square foot restaurant is setting up in Buckeye Commons, right at the corner of I-10 and Verrado Way, bringing around 25 jobs to the area. They're planning to open on November 6th. And if you've never been to a QDOBA, one big perk is they don't charge extra for guacamole or queso with your meal.

So how do you land that free food for a year? The first 50 people physically in line on November 6th get the promotion. QDOBA hasn't posted the exact fine print on what that includes yet, so getting there early on opening morning is your best bet.

And QDOBA is just one piece of what's happening at this intersection. Buckeye Commons has been filling out quickly around Costco. Major anchors like Dick's Sporting Goods and Home Depot are already open, along with spots like Five Guys, Jimmy John's, and Over Easy.

Buckeye just landed a giant 1.2 million-square-foot industrial campus right off I-10.

It's called Sonoran Logistics Park, and a Chicago developer just bought 76 acres at I-10 and Perryville Road to build it. That land alone reportedly sold for over $43 million.

They plan to build two massive facilities totaling over 1.2 million square feet, targeting a construction start late this year and an opening in early 2028.

But one detail in the design stands out. The campus is set up for over 15,000 amps of power, giving it enough electrical capacity to handle heavy manufacturing or data-heavy operations.

They don't have a tenant signed yet. The company is building this on spec, betting that a major user will claim the space as construction moves forward.

And this isn't an isolated deal. The site puts trucks right on the main route to California and Mexico, just three miles from Loop 303, making it the latest in a series of giant industrial projects landing in Buckeye.

Buckeye just got a brand-new neighborhood of spacious luxury homes right near Sundance Golf Club — with floor plans up to 3,500 square feet and three-car garages.

Homes are officially for sale, with 8 floor plans starting at $395,900. Right now, they have 2 quick-move-in homes finishing up, including a 4-bedroom layout expected as early as November for around $555,000.

Follow me and comment "home" and I'll send you all the details.

Every house comes standard with full spray-foam insulation to keep the heat out during 115-degree summers. Plus, you're right near Sundance Park with quick access to I-10, making your morning drive to work simple.

Tours are by appointment right now, and with those first homes finishing up in November, now's the time to schedule a visit.

Buckeye is getting a brand-new 55-plus luxury neighborhood with expansive 80-foot lots, select homesites backing directly to the golf course — complete with its own 3-acre hillside vineyard.

Most 55-plus neighborhoods push homes close together on tiny lots, but this new phase gives you real elbow room right at the base of the White Tank Mountains.

There are over 100 single-story homes here, with base prices starting just over $1 million and going up to around $1.17 million.

Follow me and comment "home" and I'll send you all the details.

Homeowners get full access to a huge 12-acre golf practice park with 5 short-game holes.

Picture playing a quick round, walking through the hillside vineyard, and watching the sunset without ever leaving your street.

Only a limited number of these golf-course lots are available. Once they're sold, they're gone.

Buckeye just got a brand-new neighborhood with nearly half-acre lots — and select homes come with their own attached RV garages.

This subdivision is under construction on the north side of Broadway Road, where the RV-garage homes sit on huge 0.34 to 0.40-acre lots. That is double the size of standard homesites here.

You can get 3 to 5-bedroom layouts, with standard homes starting around $350,000 and the RV-garage homes running in the mid-to-upper $500,000s.

Follow me and comment "home" and I'll send you all the details.

Having your RV parked at home means you stop paying for storage across town. It stays in your own garage, plugged in, and ready for your next trip.

Phase 1 is actively selling right now with homes finishing through early 2027. But these giant lots are limited, and once they're gone, they're gone.

Buckeye could be getting a massive $200 million warehouse that’s over a million square feet.

An Indiana developer just bought 129 acres at Southern Avenue and Rooks Road.

But this land wasn't a random empty lot. The city originally approved 3 separate buildings here, but the developer scrapped that plan for one giant warehouse.

The proposed Summit Logistics Center would measure over 1.1 million square feet, making it larger than our local Funko warehouse. The designs show 40-foot ceilings and 240 loading docks, meaning 240 semi-trucks could park there at the exact same time.

But the money deal is even more interesting. An Arizona land company bought this dirt in October 2024 for $18.4 million and sold it in June 2026 for $32.5 million.

That's a $14 million markup in just 20 months. And the developer still owes the seller another payment that they haven't made public yet once the building is finished.

No tenant has been publicly announced yet, but we'll see who moves in when they target completion in 2028.

Buckeye just broke ground on a massive $17 million fire station.

It's going up right next to Verrado High School. The city is building a 2 story facility called Victory Fire Station 709, and it'll feature 3 bays for emergency trucks.

But if you live here in Verrado, you might be asking: don't we already have a fire station?

Yes, Firehouse 703 already serves this area, but this new build won't replace it. It'll be the city's 8th station overall, built to help redirect emergency calls as neighborhoods spread farther north.

So how is the city funding this?

It's coming from the public safety bond that voters approved on November 5, 2024. This $17.6 million station is just one piece of that program.

Crews should wrap up construction by summer 2027, and then the city will start moving in the teams and equipment.

Walmart just spent 21 million dollars on 80 acres in Buckeye — and they won't say what they're building.

They bought this land in 2 separate deals just 6 days apart. The properties are 5 miles apart and don't touch, which opens up 2 different possibilities.

So what do the clues tell us?

The first site is 39 acres on State Route 85, where the city already approved industrial zoning. That means Walmart can build a warehouse here without waiting on a rezoning fight.

They bought the second site, a 40-acre tract, right next to their existing distribution center from 1993. The sellers marketed this land with customs zone capability, which can lower import taxes if Walmart uses it.

My read is they could eventually use the land next door to expand their current warehouse, while keeping the highway site for a separate future project.

Either way, these deals show how fast this corridor is growing. The city set aside over 2,500 acres here for industrial jobs, and Burlington is already building a 2 million square foot shipping hub nearby.

Buckeye is getting a giant new 275-acre neighborhood with two giant parks, shaded adventure playgrounds, and its own basketball court.

This project's been in the works for almost 20 years. Right now, 3 national builders are putting up homes on-site, so you don't get stuck with the same look on every street. They have plans with up to 5 bedrooms, and prices start in the low $370,000s, with some move-in-ready homes available right now for around $400,000.

Follow me and comment "home" and I'll send you all the details.

Inside, these houses have 9-foot ceilings and extra flex rooms. Some plans even have a bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor, so your guests have their own quiet space. The neighborhood plans include those 2 giant parks and walking paths, with an HOA fee estimated under $97 a month. They've also set aside 9 acres for a future school, but these homes are selling quickly.
