Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2:00 AM. Before you head to bed Saturday night, remember to set your clocks back one hour and enjoy that extra hour of sleep!

As the days get shorter, now is also a great time to:

✅ Update clocks that don’t change automatically

As temperatures begin to drop, it's time to make sure your heating system is ready for the colder months ahead! 🏡

💡 Did You Know? When you turn on your heat for the first time after several months, you may notice a slight burning smell. This is often caused by accumulated dust burning off as the system warms up!

🛠️ Helpful Heating Tips:
🍁 Test your heating system before temperatures get too cold.

🌡️ Keep your thermostat at a comfortable, consistent temperature.

🚫 Avoid blocking heating vents with furniture, rugs, or other belongings.

🔧 If your heat isn't working properly, submit a maintenance request so our team can address it!

⚠️ Remember: A brief dusty smell can be normal, but if you notice a strong or persistent burning smell, smoke, or unusual noises, turn off your system and contact maintenance immediately.

Here are a few fun facts you might not know:

🌱 It’s been around since 1980! The Columbia Farmers Market started with a small group of local growers selling their products around Columbia.

🚜 Everything is LOCAL. Columbia Farmers Market is a producer-only market, meaning vendors have to grow, raise, or make what they sell. Vendors must also be located within a 50-mile radius of Columbia.

🧺 Nearly 80 vendors! The market has grown into a huge community of local farmers, producers, and artisans.

🏆 National recognition! In 2021, the Columbia Farmers Market was named the #1 farmers market in the nation, the Midwest, and Missouri by American Farmland Trust.

🍯 There’s more than produce! You can find things like fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, cheese, honey, flowers, plants, baked goods, and locally made artisan products.

💚 It supports the community, too. The market participates in SNAP programs and offers community education, kids’ activities, and other programs focused on local food and agriculture.
