Two houses. Two very different situations. One thing they have in common: the market is changing. 👀
🏡 63 Franklin St, Halifax is STILL available — and honestly, that says something. Its two closest neighbors recently sold for $825,000 and $800,000. In a market where homes were once flying off the shelf, it’s interesting to see a great home remain available while nearby homes have sold.
🏡 129 Norton St, Weymouth had an accepted offer… and then the buyers decided at the last minute they didn’t want to move forward. Not because of price. Not because of the home inspection. Not because of anything major with the house. They simply changed their minds.
I honestly can't remember the last time I had to put a house back on the market after an accepted offer. A few years ago, buyers were so excited to get an accepted offer that they weren’t letting that house go for anything.
**That’s a shift**
And while change can feel uncertain, there is a LOT of good that can come from an adjusting market — especially for buyers who have been frustrated by bidding wars and feeling like they had to make split-second decisions.
The key is to pay attention, stay flexible, adjust when needed, and find the opportunities. The market isn’t necessarily “good” or “bad” right now — it’s different. And that means we have to keep watching it and adapting along the way.
If you have questions about what you’re seeing in the market, or you just want to talk through what all of this means for you, please feel free to call or text me anytime. No pressure, no sales pitch — I’m always happy to talk real estate.
And if you’d like to see either of these amazing homes, reach out and I’d be happy to get you in! 🏡
