🏠 If there’s a crawlspace, I’m crawling! 🔦

A crawlspace isn’t something I just peek into from the entrance and call it a day. When conditions allow, I get in there and take a closer look at what’s going on underneath the house.

From plumbing issues and moisture concerns to structural components and other potential problems, there’s a lot hiding beneath your feet that deserves attention.

🚨 ANGRY FINGER ALERT! ☝️

Who thought carpeting the inside of an air return was a good idea? 😂

Your HVAC system pulls air through those returns, and the materials inside should be appropriate for that purpose. Carpet can collect dust, hair, and other debris where you definitely don’t want unnecessary buildup in your HVAC system.

Home improvement projects are great, but sometimes it’s best to leave the creativity out of your ductwork!

What’s hiding under your bathroom sink? 👀

This cabinet shows significant suspected mold or mildew growth, along with a flexible drain connection that needs further evaluation.

💧 Excess moisture can damage cabinetry and create conditions favorable for mold growth.

🔧 Improper drain connections can contribute to leaks, drainage problems, and future repairs.

It’s easy to overlook what’s hiding behind those cabinet doors, but that’s exactly why a thorough home inspection matters!

The good news? The only monsters you should have to worry about this October are the ones hiding in your Halloween decorations.

When I inspect your home, I’m looking for the real-life “monsters” hiding under the bed, behind the walls, in the attic, under the house, and everywhere in between. 🔎🏠
