A lot of real estate advice sounds smart because it’s been repeated for years. 🤭
That doesn’t always mean it still fits the market you’re in now.
“Wait until spring.” “Price it high and come down later.” “You need 20% down.” None of those ideas are automatically right or wrong on their own.
The problem is treating them like rules instead of looking at the actual situation in front of you. 👏
Timing depends on what else is on the market. Pricing depends on how buyers are responding right now. Financing depends on the loan options available to you and what actually makes sense for your budget.
That’s why I’d rather give someone context than a canned answer.

Buying or selling a home involves emotion, personalities, competing priorities, and a lot of money. There are moments when both sides feel completely justified in what they want, and that’s exactly where an experienced agent matters.

Our job isn’t simply to tell you what you want to hear. It’s to understand the full situation, negotiate strategically, and find the path forward that actually gets the deal closed.

Use AI as a tool. Just don’t confuse information with representation.

We are closed! 🥂Very excited for our sellers who closed on this gorgeous single family home in El Camino Village today. After relocating out of state, my colisting agent partners in Calabasas brought me onto help get this beauty sold. The sellers took all of our suggestions and painted, staged and spruced up this adorable home with a killer yard and we dropped it on the market- the amazing addition, detached garage and natural light really was a showstopper- plus air conditioning in a heatwave. It really was a fun home to show off. Market is shifting and we had to reposition- but sellers trusted our advice and we got it done. Thank you Rachel Weitzbuch and Julie Meggat for your trust.
