🐮🐥 A day full of learning, laughter, and a little adventure! 🌽💚

Our preschoolers and their family chaperones enjoyed a field trip to Benedict’s in Monroe, where our little learners met chickens, cows, goats, peacocks, and ducks! 🦆 They fed the ducks, jumped into a dried corn pit, took a hayride, and even put their hay bale parkour skills to the test!

A special thank you to Miss Sue for guiding us around the beautiful property and teaching our little learners all about the animals and their habits. Thank you to Benedict's Home & Garden for such a wonderful experience, and to all the family members who joined us as chaperones!

We loved making memories, learning together, and spending the day as one big Sterling family. 💚🧡🩷💙

🧘‍♀️ A wellness event just for adults! 🐝

Take a moment for yourself with a relaxing yoga session led by Panagiota Raguskus, followed by an opportunity to taste, sample, and shop products from Nature's Creations! 🌿

From local raw honey and beeswax candles to creams, lip balm, Greek extra-virgin olive oil, and handmade pottery, there’s plenty to explore.

✨ This FREE event has limited spots, so registration is required! We kindly ask participants to bring a canned good to support our community food pantry. 🧡

🎃👻 Our Trick or Trunk was a SPOOK-tacular success!

Over the weekend, our Afterschool and Preschool families came together for an afternoon full of costumes, candy, treats, games, and some awesomely decorated trunks! 🍬🚗🕸️

A big thank you to all the families who participated and helped make this event so much fun! We love seeing our community come together to make memories. 💚

Safesitters teaches sitters ages 11+ the skills they need to feel confident and prepared when caring for children. Participants learn child care and safety skills, first aid and rescue skills, plus life and business skills that can come in handy on and off the job.

🎃 A little pumpkin picking, a lot of community spirit!

Our Afterschool kids buddied up and walked down to Stratford United Methodist Church’s pumpkin patch for a special fall outing! Thanks to Peggy, one of our frequent Sterling volunteers, each child got to pick out a mini pumpkin and decorate it with fun stickers. 🧡

A big thank-you to Peggy and Stratford United Methodist Church for welcoming our kids and helping create these special memories. We love seeing our community come together to make little moments like these possible!

Last year, our community provided Thanksgiving dinners to 400+ families! Let’s make this year’s Thanksgiving just as special! 🧡

We’re collecting donations now through November 17. Check out the graphic for the full list of requested items and help us fill the gap this Thanksgiving.

Please note that frozen turkeys and/or hams may be dropped off beginning November 19 to help us avoid storage limitations.

🏀 The 2026–2027 basketball season is calling! 🏀

From learning the fundamentals to competing in a league, Sterling Community Center offers basketball programs for players from kindergarten through 12th grade! Find the right fit for your athlete and get ready for a great season on the court.

📅 Important Registration Deadlines
🏀 Rec League: November 8
🏀 High School League: December 19

Please note that our Learn to Play and Developmental programs are co-ed. Our Rec League and High School League are boys’ leagues. Girls interested in league play are encouraged to register for the Stratford Recreation Department’s girls’ basketball league at www.townofstratford.com/recreation.
