As you walk through, pay attention to:

✔️ Layout—does it work for your everyday life?
✔️ Storage—is there room for the things you actually own?
✔️ Upkeep—are you comfortable maintaining that house and yard?
✔️ Location—try the drive to work and the places you visit regularly.
✔️ Condition—ask about the roof and major systems, and note questions for a professional inspection.

Paint colors can change. A floor plan or location you don’t like may be harder to work around.

Yesterday’s Market Monday highlighted more homes available across metro Atlanta. But when comparing your options, look beyond the asking price.

Before you fall in love with a home, consider:

✔️ Your total monthly payment—including taxes and insurance
✔️ How much cash you’ll need to close
✔️ Repairs and maintenance to budget for
✔️ Any HOA fees

You can also ask whether there’s an opportunity to negotiate closing-cost assistance. That depends on the seller, the property, and your loan requirements.

A lower asking price doesn’t automatically mean a home will be more affordable for you.

📈 Homes available: UP 4.8% from last year
📉 Closed sales: DOWN about 12%
🏠 Median sale price: $387,000—nearly unchanged from last year

Buyers, more choices may create opportunities to negotiate price, repairs, or closing-cost assistance, depending on the property.

Sellers, buyers have more homes to compare. Pricing your home thoughtfully and making a good first impression matter.

These numbers cover the 29-county Atlanta metro area. Your neighborhood and price range may tell a different story.
