Sometimes the unexpected parts of a build turn into some of its best features- like these retaining walls at our Willard project.

These retaining walls weren’t part of the original plan, but as we worked through the home’s placement, elevation, and drainage, they became a necessary addition.

And now? They’re doing a whole lot more than holding back dirt.

They’re helping direct water away from the home, screening mechanical equipment, and creating a natural space for a future fire pit and outdoor entertaining area.

That’s the beauty of custom building. Not everything goes exactly as planned, but with the right team, even the challenges can become opportunities to make a home better.
