🚨 20 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR HOME LOOK LIKE IT’S STILL 1987! 😂🏡

Oh, the things we thought were FANCY! Remember when every bathroom had a fuzzy toilet seat cover? Well, friends… some of those decorating trends have overstayed their welcome. About 30 years too long! 🤣

I’m sharing 20 things that might be making your home look a little stuck in the past! And before anyone gets offended…
I promise, I’ve had a few of these in my own home! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Here’s the thing: You don’t have to spend a fortune to give your home a fresh look. Sometimes it’s simply knowing what to put away, what to update, and what to finally say goodbye to.

Now tell me… HOW MANY OF THESE ARE STILL IN YOUR HOUSE? 👀
No judgment here! Well, maybe a little if you still have plastic grapes out! 🍇😂

5.0 star review received on Experience.com for Laura Collins, ABR® by Dana L L - Laura is an outstanding realtor who goes above and beyond standard realtor service. She serves with her heart and makes the time meaningful as she assists with finding a home, not just a house to live in. As an Air Force family, we moved and puchased three homes in three different states. As a current retired family, our search was different and Laura had the experience, patience, and expertise to support and guide us to achieve our long term goals. We would highly recommend Laura Collins to anyone!

🤍Dana & Victor, thank you so much for these kind words. They truly mean more to me than you know. I’m especially grateful that our paths crossed when they did and am blessed for the referral. I know you came into this journey after the loss of someone you trusted, and I never took lightly the opportunity to step in, earn your trust, and walk alongside you as you searched for your new home. Helping you find and secure your beautiful new home was such a joy, but I’m even more thankful that our journey together isn’t over yet. Now, as we prepare the home in Spring Branch that you’ve loved for 20 years for its next chapter, I’m honored to be right there beside you again. Thank you for trusting me with such an important season in your lives. Clients like you are exactly why I love what I do. ❤️

Hugs, Laura

🤗 thank you for the referral, Mrs. Thurman

🌿 Hey San Antonio! Thinking About Selling?

Getting your home ready for the market doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune or tackling everything at once! If you’re thinking about selling your home, start with a few simple things right now:

📦 DECLUTTER Before You Pack-
Create three areas: KEEP • DONATE • SELL.
If you haven’t used something in over a year, ask yourself if it really needs to make the move with you. 🧐
Local churches, donation centers, and nonprofits are often grateful for gently used items. 🙌🏽

✨ CLEAN Makes a HUGE Difference
Buyers notice a clean, fresh home. If the thought of deep cleaning feels overwhelming, consider bringing in a professional for a one-time cleaning before photos or showings. 🧼🧽

🚪 DON’T FORGET the Front 🚪
✨First impressions start before buyers ever step inside. Sweep the porch, clean the windows, freshen up the landscaping, and make your front entry feel warm and welcoming.
And most importantly
you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. Before my sellers start spending money, I like to walk through the home with them and help determine what’s worth doing, what can wait, and what may not need to be done at all.
Sometimes a few thoughtful changes can make a much bigger difference than an expensive renovation.

Thinking about making a move?
I’d be happy to walk through your home with you and help you create a plan now and not later. 🤍

Christmas is coming, the Hallmark movies are about to be on repeat, and you already know the storyline…….
She comes home for the holidays, falls in love with the charming hometown and the perfect house. ❤️ And while I can’t promise the handsome stranger will be waiting at the local Christmas tree farm 😉, I can help you find a home that feels like it belongs in your favorite holiday movie.

This time of year makes HOME feel a little more special with the twinkle lights, family gathered around the table and Christmas morning in our pajamas.

So grab the cocoa, turn on Hallmark, and if your Christmas wish happens to include a new address… I would love to be your Hometown REALTOR®. 🎄🗝️🏡

I hope you loved my Hallmark Photo at the end!🤩

This
one
is
pretty
spectacular!
I’m glad I was invited to preview it❣️🤗

Set on more than 2 acres in with Guadalupe River frontage, this custom estate feels more like a private resort than a home. 😍

☀️Think multilevel pool + spa with
river access for swimming and kayaking,
a riverside grotto, outdoor pizza oven, w**e grotto, 12-person theater, game room, sport court, exercise room overlooking the river, private guest suite AND garage space that can accommodate up to 8 vehicles.

And then there’s that kitchen…
3 ovens.
3 dishwashers.
Dual islands.
Clearly, they were serious about entertaining. 🤩 This amazing home has:

🛌 6 bedrooms
🛀 6+ bath
🎥 12 Person Theater
🍷 Climate Controlled W**e Grotto
🎮 Game Room
😅 2 Wet Saunas
🏋️‍♂️ Exercise Room
📚 Top Rated Schools

But for me, it’s the setting. The balconies, the Hill Country views, the sound of the river below and all that beautiful outdoor living. This is the epitome of a luxury home in the Texas Hill Country for just under $5 million.

And yes… I’d be happy to show it to you. 🤎

🙏🏽For nearly two years, we searched, waited, regrouped, and navigated all the things that life can unexpectedly put in the way. There were times when the home search had to take a back seat. Times when plans changed. Times when patience was required. But the dream of finding the right place never….ever…went away.

And today… they’re HOME. ❤️
Thank you Colleen Jenne for getting us to closing. You made it so seamless!

Not just another house. Not just another closing. This home….a place where they can finally settle in, exhale, make memories, and begin this next chapter together. A place that was worth the wait.

Victor and Dana, it has truly been an honor to walk alongside you through this journey. Thank you for trusting me, sticking with the process, and allowing me to be a small part of such a big moment in your lives.

May your new home be filled with laughter around the table, quiet mornings, family gatherings and plenty to celebrate. May ordinary days become part of your favorite memories for many years to come.

Here’s to HOME! 🥂🏡❤️
Congratulations! May you be incredibly blessed in your beautiful forever home.

Time to find another home to buy!
