UNION COUNTY, NJ — I’m not gatekeeping this local find!
My husband and I have officially gone down the rabbit hole of all things organic, grass-fed, and nontoxic, and we’re trying to be more intentional about where our food comes from.
So when we discovered Grateful Red Meat Co. in Fairfield, NJ, just a short drive from Union County, we knew we had to check it out!
We participated in our very first beef share, purchasing 1/16 of a cow!
Here’s how it works: Everyone receives the same selection of beef cuts, and then you draw playing cards to determine the order for choosing from the remaining cuts. Such a fun and unique experience!
🥩 Beef sourced from Beaver Brook Ranch
🐓 Chicken sourced from Goffle Road Farm
🥚 They also offer eggs!
We love discovering local New Jersey businesses that help us shop more intentionally, support local agriculture, and know more about where our food comes from.
Whether you’re in Westfield, Cranford, Clark, Scotch Plains, Summit, Rahway, or anywhere in Union County, this is a local NJ food find worth knowing about!
Would you ever buy a share of a cow?
