Apparently, Sarasota’s love of the arts extends into the afterlife. 👻🎭

The Sarasota Opera House opened in 1926 as the Edwards Theatre—and local legend suggests some of its audience may never have left. Stories of unexplained footsteps and a friendly after-hours presence give this historic landmark its own “phantom of the opera” reputation.

Documented history? Absolutely. A resident ghost? That part belongs to local folklore. 😉

It’s another reason I love Sarasota: even our ghost stories come with a little culture.
