Saturday mornings browsing local vendors like it’s your weekly ritual.

📍 The UTC area

A quick “I’m just running in for one thing” turning into a full afternoon.

📍 Myakka River State Park

An easy go-to when you want a nature reset without going far.

If you’ve checked off most of these, I think it’s safe to say you’ve earned local status.

I've toured a LOT of new construction homes in Lakewood Ranch, and there's one builder I think more buyers should be paying attention to.

Perry Homes in Star Farms.

Especially if you're looking for more space, a larger garage, and a home that doesn't feel like every other new build on the block.

Here's what caught my attention:

• Homes starting in the $600s

• Floor plans ranging from approximately 2,000 to 4,000 square feet

• Select floor plans with 4-car garages

• Spacious layouts, thoughtful designs, and beautiful finishes

But here's something I always tell buyers…

Just because two builders have homes at similar price points doesn't mean you're getting the same value.

Lot sizes, standard features, upgrades, floor plans, and builder incentives can make a BIG difference in what you're actually getting for your money.

And that's exactly why I spend so much time touring these communities, comparing builders, and learning what each one has to offer.

Before you sign a contract with ANY builder in Lakewood Ranch, compare what your money can actually get you. You might be surprised.

Wondering what it’s really like living in Lakewood Ranch, Florida? Here’s why I think it’s worth the tradeoff. 👇

People are quick to point out that it’s more expensive, but that only tells part of the story.

For me, the payoff is in the day to day. It’s being close to Waterside Place, having easy access to trails + parks and a quick drive over to Siesta Key, and knowing I can spend a random Saturday at Lakewood Ranch Farmers’ Market.

That’s the stuff that changes how a place feels to live in.

So yes, I get the criticism. I just think what you get in return matters so much more.

And fall is one of the best times to experience exactly what makes living here worth it.

I get why Miami gets all the attention, but there are a few things about life here in Sarasota that are really hard to beat. 😉

For me, it’s being minutes from Siesta Key Beach and downtown Sarasota, having incredible local spots like St. Armands Circle and the Rosemary District close by, and the fact that you can spend your Saturday grabbing coffee, hitting the farmers market, and catching sunset on the Gulf instead of sitting in traffic.

Miami absolutely has its strengths, but this is where I’d put my money.

Spend enough time in Sarasota, Florida and you start to understand why people are so loyal to it.

LOCAL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT | THE SALT CAVES & SPA – LAKEWOOD RANCH

You may have heard of The Salt Caves in Lakewood Ranch, but did you know they offer SO much more than just salt therapy?

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Myra, the owner of The Salt Caves & Spa, to learn more about her business and everything she has to offer!

From Himalayan salt caves and infrared saunas to red light therapy, and the Quantum Chamber, this is one of those local businesses you might drive right past without realizing what's inside!

One of my favorite things about living in Lakewood Ranch is discovering the people and small businesses that make our community special. I love getting the opportunity to share their stories and introduce them to more people in our area.

Why would I live somewhere with snowy mountains when I literally get Gulf Coast sunsets 365 days a year? 🧐

That’s the thing about living in Sarasota, FL. Once sunshine and salty air becomes part of your everyday life, it stops feeling like some special occasion and starts feeling like the standard.

You get used to sunset walks on Siesta Key, grabbing brunch downtown before a quick trip to Lido Beach, and being able to take a last minute paddle board session on Sarasota Bay without really thinking twice about it.

So yes, I understand why people love snowy winters. I just don’t know that I’d trade what we get here for it.

The brand-new Life Time Lakewood Ranch is officially opening its doors, bringing an entirely new level of fitness, wellness, and recreation to our community!

Here’s what you can expect:

14 pickleball courts

An expansive fitness floor

Pilates and yoga studios

Cold plunges, saunas, and recovery amenities

Café and coworking lounge

Kids Academy with activities for the little ones

Whether you’re looking to get a workout in, spend the afternoon by the pool, play pickleball with friends, or enjoy a little relaxation, this place has something for just about everyone.

I love seeing amenities like this continue to come to Lakewood Ranch. It’s another reason this area is becoming such a desirable place to live!
