The Agency Magazine’s new Fall/Winter issue is here, and we’re proud to share that one of our Santa Fe listings is featured inside.

Not all “$/sqft” is created equal and citywide, Santa Fe’s median sale price sits around $343/sqft as of mid-2026, down slightly from last year. But that number flattens everything into one line, and in a market this varied, that’s exactly where buyers get misled.

Zoom into specific streets and the range blows wide open. Recent luxury-area sales have closed well north of $900/sqft , with one recent Sanchez Street sale trading at $931 per square foot — nearly 3x the citywide median. Meanwhile , Santa Fe City overall landed closer to $403/sqft in the most recent full-year data, and that figure moves again depending on whether you’re comparing a historic Eastside adobe, a golf-course build in Las Campanas, or acreage in Tesuque.

The number isn’t wrong. It’s just incomplete. Lot size, historic district status, system age, and views all hide inside that single figure — which is exactly why two homes with the same $/sqft can be worth very different things.
