Compass, a company with about 340,000 agents, sued CRMLS, my MLS, on Oct 16, 2026 (per industry reports). The most important sentence in the fight is in Compass's own seller disclosure form. Here's what it says, what has actually happened, and 3 questions to ask anybody who pitches you a private launch. No court has ruled on whether private listings are legal.
