What are the latest numbers telling us about the Salt Lake City real estate market?

As we head further into fall, September's Wasatch Front data points to a relatively stable market, with a few encouraging signs for both buyers and sellers.

The median sale price held steady at $526,210, up 1.2% from September of last year. Homes that went under contract spent an average of 59 days on the market, down from 70 days in August. And with 2,208 sales totaling more than $1.4 billion, buyers are continuing to make moves across a wide range of price points.

What stands out to me is how important it is to look beyond the regional averages. The conditions in Salt Lake City's Avenues, Sugar House, and Federal Heights neighborhoods can look very different from those in Holladay or Millcreek.

Whether you're buying or selling, understanding what's happening in your specific neighborhood can make all the difference in your strategy.
