What an exceptional tribute to our neighbors & heroes in Center Moriches!
♥️

As you drive along Main Street take a moment to notice the Hometown Heroes Banners proudly displayed on our lamp posts!! Thank you to three 8th grade students from Center Moriches Middle School Addison Raupp, Kristin Luna, & Adrianna Loesch. As part of their 8th grade project they decided to honor our vets in a special way. They teamed up with the Hometown Heroes Program to recognize the service and sacrifices made by our service men and women. At this time the students have raised over $4000 to help sponsor the banners. The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches was proud to help support this project. Boy Scout Troop 23 volunteered to put up the banners & Moriches Chamber will help maintain the banners. We would like to thank Rich Raupp, Addison’s father, for his exceptional direction and unwavering commitment in steering this project to its successful completion. A huge thank you to Addison, Kristin, & Adrianna for initiating the "Hometown Heroes" project, a heartfelt tribute honoring our veterans. Your dedication to recognizing and celebrating their sacrifices is truly commendable.
