“We’re something else!”
Big things are happening in Rocky Mount, and another major investment in our town is moving forward!
I’m excited to share that construction on the new Hampton by Hilton along North Main Street is getting closer to becoming a reality!
In fact, you’ll see a new sign going up at the site this week, with excavation expected to begin in November and a planned opening in the summer of 2028!
This $14 million investment will bring an 88-room hotel and conference center to Rocky Mount, creating new jobs, supporting our local businesses, and bringing new economic opportunities to our community.
Think about what this means for our town.
Every year, the Harvester Performance Center, local festivals, sporting events, and attractions throughout Franklin County bring visitors to our area. With more hotel accommodations right here in Rocky Mount, we’ll have an even greater opportunity to turn those visits into overnight stays, restaurant meals, shopping trips, and additional revenue for our local economy.
That’s what economic development is all about. Creating opportunities, attracting investment, and building a stronger future for our community.
Projects like this don’t happen overnight. They take planning, patience, partnerships, and people who believe in the future of Rocky Mount.
I’m grateful to the developers for their continued investment and confidence in our town, and I’m excited to see this important project take its next steps.
The sign going up this week is more than a sign of what’s coming. It’s another sign of the progress we’re making in Rocky Mount.
There’s more work ahead, and I’ll continue sharing updates as this project moves forward.
Our town’s future is worth investing in, and it’s exciting to see that investment taking shape!
