Rockport-Fulton just earned all FOUR Friendly Texas certifications, making it a “Grand Slam” community! 🎉

It’s one of only SEVEN in Texas and the ONLY one on the Gulf Coast.

The Governor’s Office offers four Friendly Texas designations, and a community that holds all of them is a Grand Slam community:

🎬 Film Friendly Texas: ready to welcome film, TV, and commercial productions
🎶 Music Friendly Texas: supports musicians, live venues, and festivals
🎮 Digital Media Friendly Texas: attracts video game, animation, and visual effects industries
🏖️ Tourism Friendly Texas: treats tourism as an economic driver through partnerships and destination management

Rockport’s newest designation, Tourism Friendly Texas, completed the set.

Why it matters: these certifications connect communities with state resources like Travel Texas, the Texas Film Commission, and the Texas Music Office. They don’t come with automatic funding, but they bring statewide visibility, industry contacts, and new opportunities for local businesses, artists, and creatives.
