We welcome people who are facing homelessness in Knox, Waldo, and Lincoln counties, providing hope and a path to a brighter future.

How We Do It
Our programs and services include:
•Shelter when possible
•Comprehensive case management
•Housing
•Life skills training and support
•Health and well-being programming
•Aftercare support for families in independence
•Transportation
•Food distribution
•Access to career, education, mental health and health services

Access To Services:
Monday through Friday, 9AM-4PM someone is always available to begin to support and assist homeless families. Just come to the shelter at 169 Old County Road, or call us at 207-593-8151 and we’ll organize to meet you where you are. How We Deliver Our Care
Everything we do is delivered with a goal of removing barriers to sustainable independence for our families. Everything we do is delivered with respect, dignity and caring.

Earlier this month, Homeworthy Executive Director Molly Feeney and Youth Services Director Joseph Hufnagel traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, to attend the National Symposium on Solutions to End Youth Homelessness, hosted by Point Source Youth!

The two-day gathering brought together advocates, service providers, and young people with lived experience from across the country to share ideas, explore innovative approaches, and strengthen efforts to end youth homelessness. We’re so grateful to be part of these conversations!

Looking for a place to donate winter clothes, supplies, or other items? The Pen Bay Y is currently collecting items that will be distributed to those in need. Drop off items at the Rockport or Rockland locations during open hours!

We are huge fans of Shawn here at Homeworthy and The Landing Place! Shawn has helped tons of Homeworthy clients and TLP youth get their first bike and even teaches matiencence and repair to many of the teens who come into The Landing Place. A huge thank you to the team at Knox County Health Clinic for stopping by Homeworthy last week with the Mobile Health & Wellness Van! Clinic staff met with clients to help connect them with medical and dental services, offered flu and COVID vaccines and shared community resources! We’re so grateful that these important services are available to folks who need it most in our region.

We need your help! We are in need of more folks to help support our MOVING operations. Homeworthy moves a lot of items, including furniture for clients, and we can always use more strong hands. Additionally, we are looking for folks with pickup trucks who would be willing to volunteer as transport for bigger items! If you like to lift heavy, consider lifting heavy for your COMMUNITY 💪
