Last week, I had one of those mornings that started off a little rough. My 3-year-old was NOT interested in going to school, and by the time I finally got out the door, I was already feeling like I'd lived an entire day.
But then things started turning around in the sweetest little ways.
I stopped by Connect Coffee before a closing in Caldwell and ordered a s'mores cold brew. Amber informed me that I was getting the very last of the cold brew for the day. A small victory to many, but it was a big win for me.
Then she told me about a new cold brew blend they're going to be offering and actually let me smell the coffee beans. Which probably sounds ridiculous to some of you, but OH MY GOODNESS. They smelled divine. I'm already looking forward to trying it.
Wanna know one thing I love about Amber?
Every single time I leave Connect Coffee, she sends me out the door with the sweetest smile and the same little wish:
"I hope you sell a house today!"
And I don't think she has any idea how much that makes me smile.
It's such a simple thing. Just a few words from someone who remembers what I do and takes a second out of her day to cheer me on.
I think sometimes we underestimate how much those little interactions matter. Especially on days when things haven't exactly gone according to plan.
So today, I'm extra thankful for good coffee, kind people, and the ones who make our little communities feel like home.
And Amber, if you're reading this, Love you. 💜
