This morning I counted eleven dogs.
That's the view from my office. I work from the small enclosed porch at the front of the house, so most of my day happens between phone calls and whoever walks by.
I'm Theresa Burns. My husband Allan and I loved this town from the outside for years before we moved here. Now we'd like to meet the people in it.
So 🎃pumpkins.
Saturday, October 17. Noon to 3.
36 Navesink Avenue.
Free pumpkins for the kids. Crafts. Hot c***r, apple c***r donuts, hot dogs and chili.
Rain date the following Saturday, the 24th.
Bring the kids. Bring the dog.

There's construction noise outside.

Four neighbors have already passed by with their dogs, and I'm still on my first cup of coffee.

This is my enclosed front porch. My home office.

Some people chase corner offices. I chased something quieter... a place small enough to notice things. The wave through the window. The pause between sips. The version of me that got lost somewhere between titles and awards.

She's back. Sitting right here.

And this is where the stories start coming together. The market. The people. The moments nobody puts in a listing.
